Food Pantries/PADS
Proviso Pantry: Housed at
Cosmopolitan Church, 1112 N. 9th Avenue, Melrose Park, the Proviso
Pantry is largely staffed by members and friends of RFUMC.
Did you know?: In March 2009 the Proviso Pantry served 670
households or 2,316 individuals, versus 416 households or 1,370
individuals the previous March. Your donations of time, food, and
funds, as well as your prayers are greatly appreciated--and are
truly needed!
West Suburban PADS: Members and
friends of RFUMC participate as a food team for this program. Once
a month, we provide and serve dinner to the guests housed at
St. Eulalia Church in
Maywood.

Oak Park/River Forest Pantry
Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts
  RFUMC sent a team down to Gulfport, Mississippi in March 2006 and another team to Ocean Springs in April 2007. In
addition, Pastor Char Hoffman helped in the cleanup efforts after
the Des Plaines River flooded several River Forest homes in fall
2008.
